Restorative care focuses on improvement of an individual’s physical function.
We call our restorative approach the ‘Get READY’ program – a Restorative Exercise Approach Directed by You.
The Get READY approach focuses on achieving things with you rather than for you and centres on what you can do and what you want to do. Each person’s needs are different, so we assesses and develops an individual plan which you wish to achieve.
We can help strengthen you physically for example, with exercise and mobility: stretching, strengthening and exercise that helps you stay strong, prevent falls, and feel good mentally and physically.
If you enjoy swimming, let us help you to build your strength, mobility and ability to access the pool or beach. If you want to walk more, then our team can work towards increasing your muscle strength and other exercises, which can benefit your balance (and help prevent falls), circulation and help you feel better about yourself. Exercise classes are also a good option and great for meeting new friends.
If you have been unwell, we will work with you to get you back on track, restoring your physical and psychological health step by step.
There is something that everyone can do to increase activity and keep bones and muscles moving and as strong as they can be. With our Get READY program it’s possible to achieve this – increasing your independence, changing your life and how you feel.
