How much does it cost?
Our Homecare Package and DVA nursing services are subsidised by the government, meaning you get the care you need at little or no cost. Once we develop your individual Care Plan we can inform you more precisely what the costs will be.
For privately-funded care our rates are highly competitive given that RSL LifeCare is a not for profit organisation. Please call or email us for further information or to request a copy of our Private Fee Schedule.
How flexible are you with the timing of home visits?
Once we know what services you would like and the timeframe required we can discuss some options. We actively work towards ensuring you get the support at a time that best suits you.
Who will provide my care?
RSL LifeCare At Home has a team of qualified carers, registered nurses and specialist nurses who are local to your area and undergo a rigorous recruitment process including qualification, police and visa checks. Our clients tell us that the most common traits of our staff are that they ‘go the extra mile’, have a ‘can do’ attitude and bring energy, enthusiasm and compassion to the people they serve every day.
How do I get a service that meets my needs?
We can talk you through this process. Whether you have government assistance through Commonwealth Home Care Packages or DVA or will be paying personally for this service, we can assist by developing a care plan with you. This plan is flexible and can be changed and reviewed as your needs change.
What can my Home Care Package cover?
There are 4 levels of Home Care Packages ranging from lower care packages (level 1 & 2) to higher care packages (level 3 & 4). The higher the package the more funding you have available for services. Depending on the level of funding you receive we can discuss a tailored Care Plan with you.
Can I put money from my Home Care Package towards other services?
Yes you can. It’s your choice to decide what will help you achieve your goals of staying home safely and independently.
What levels and types of nursing services are available?
Either qualified registered nurses or experienced assistants in nursing can be referred to provide services such as wound management, medication management or palliative care. From our initial discussion and your assessment and eligibility (for government funded programs), we can work with you within these guidelines and your needs.
How do I arrange any of these services?
You can either call us to arrange services or you may be referred by;
- Hospital discharge planners
- Veteran Home Care Assessment Agency
- Community Service Organisations
